Are you interested in getting involved in the
ministry of Greentown Wesleyan Church?
We
invite you to join other young people in this monthly ministry that is
inspired by
your ideas and driven by the passions that God has given you.
Our continual goal is to build relationships and to ask God how we
can
serve Him and others in this church and community.
Don’t think that you have anything to offer?
Well, God disagrees!
He has given each believer gifts that are meant to be shared. So join
us!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on
toward love and good deeds.

| What have we been up to? | |||||||
| All Church Picnic 2005 | An even-better-than-last-year-event. The location of Swayzee West Park suited the entire church family with a secluded pavilion, lots of shade trees, a walking track, tennis courts, baseball diamond, and volleyball courts. The bees weren't invited this year and we are thankful that they didn't come! Praise the Lord for a wonderful day of fellowship and sunny skies! | ||||||
| VBS Decorating | With the donations of many church members and the innovative building skills of Dan Hunt, volunteers transformed the church into a "construction site" for this summer's Construction Zone VBS. Over 75 kids were taught the Gospel and five characteristics of Jesus (humility, obedience, faithfulness, caring and forgiveness) in this beautifully designed and constructed set. Several invited Jesus into their hearts during the week! | ||||||
| Fair Parking | Volunteers helped to park cars during the County Fair to raise funds for the youth. | ||||||
| Build Garage | On one of the hottest days of the summer, lots of Young Adult and other volunteers, led by Tom Little, put up the walls and most of the trusses- even through a lightening storm. Since the day, volunteers have gradually completed the roof, doors, siding, and other tasks. | ||||||
| Youth Secret Pals & Dinner | Young Adults chose
youth of the church to surprise with encouragement, gifts and a
dinner. We truly love the youth of GWC and just want them to know
it! We got together in June to reveal our identities, play board games and eat a great Fazoli's-catered meal. |
||||||
| Pancake Breakfast | Nearly 100 people came to fellowship. A short devotional was shared calling everyone to follow God out of love, not guilt or obligation. Many contributed money to support the events of the Young Adults. | ||||||
| Church Work Day | Closets
were organized. Church vans were detailed. Pews were polished, and
countless other jobs were joyfully completed by about 25 volunteers. Pastor Boss's 20-year celebration was also set-up. |
||||||
| Journey to the Cross | Families and individuals walked through 10 stations in the fellowship hall which helped them to focus on key events in the life of Jesus- a true celebration of Easter! | ||||||
| Celebration of Friends | Our vision of building relationships between younger and older generations is becoming a reality thanks to this event. It was a great opportunity for the younger to honor the older and for the older to encourage the younger! | ||||||
| Superbowl Party | The Superbowl Party was a huge success- in spite of the Fire Department's visit! No one really watched the game, but we had fun eating and playing games! | ||||||
| Ladies Shopping Day | The ladies got together Saturday, November 29th for lunch and Christmas shopping! | ||||||
| Fall Festival | The Fall Festival grew out of a vision for a fun and safe party for kids during the Halloween season and became a reality through the generosity of our entire church, and the excitement of over 50 kids from our church, daycare and community. | ||||||
| All Church Picnic | For early September, we planned an all-church picnic where over 100 of our church friends and family members ate great food, had good conversations and played our last outdoor games of the season. | ||||||
